Re-remembering is a fascinating process. Here memory, perception and imagination are interchangeable as we fill the gaps in our recollection with associations and imagined scenes.

This painting has been created on a framed wooden cradle board. It is a mixed media piece comprising of Acrylic Paint, Graphite, Oil Pastel, Ink, Coloured Pencil and Collage (including a mix of vintage paper and paper hand made by the artist). The painting is 63.5cm by 45.5cm by 4cm, has been sealed with three layers of satin varnish to protect the work and comes ready to hang.

'Something Unreal Seeps Into The Reality Of The Recollection' has over 14 layers of paint and collage contained within it. Building it up layer by layer creates depth, texture and history. The lumps and bumps on the surface make it almost tactile and the interplay of shape next to line, collage next to paint and colour next to monocrome creates interest and drama within the piece.

This piece has been selected by Fox Yard Gallery to be included in their 'Fraction' exhibition. The exhibition will be open to the public from the 27th of April through to the 5th of May and you can purchase this piece in person at the gallery (Fox Yard Gallery, 6 Old Fox Yard, Stowmarket, IP14 1AB) or contact me direct and I will arrange for it to be reserved for you.
