In a world often filled with noise and distractions, this work seeks to explore the intimate power of quiet moments. A whisper can evoke a smile, soothe a heart, and remind us of moments when we were not alone. I am fascinated by how these fleeting words, often too soft to be fully understood, can carve out spaces of comfort, nostalgia, and connection. This piece is an invitation to step into these hushed realms, where the boundaries between memory and emotion blur.

This painting has been created on a framed wooden cradle board. It is a mixed media piece comprising of Acrylic Paint, Graphite, Oil Pastel, Ink, Coloured Pencil and Collage (including a mix of vintage paper and paper hand made by the artist). The painting is 61cm by 61cm, has been sealed with three layers of satin varnish to protect the work and comes ready to hang.

'The Private Music of Whispered Words' has over 14 layers of paint and collage contained within it. Building it up layer by layer creates depth, texture and history. The lumps and bumps on the surface make it almost tactile and the interplay of shape next to line, collage next to paint and colour next to monocrome creates interest and drama within the piece.

The original painting has sold however I have 5 framed limited edition prints available. These prints have been created on aluminium using a special layering process. The coloured inks are applied with unique textures for each layer, which means each print carries a hint of the original texture from the artwork itself!
